Service Description

Being a teenager today is a very different experience to what it was even ten years ago. Social media, constant comparison, exposure to adult content, shifting expectations around identity, relationships, and success—it’s a lot. And many young people are trying to make sense of it all without the skills, language, or confidence to do so. That’s where I come in. I work with teens to help them better understand themselves, build confidence, and navigate relationships, emotions, and the online world in a way that feels safe, grounded, and empowering. This isn’t therapy that feels heavy or clinical. It’s real, practical, engaging support that meets young people where they’re at. What we might work on together: Anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional regulation Friendships, conflict, and social dynamics Confidence, identity, and self-worth Online behaviour, social media, and exposure to harmful content Respectful relationships, boundaries, and consent Early sexual experiences, curiosity, or confusion (handled sensitively and age-appropriately) Motivation, disengagement, or feeling “stuck” I bring a unique blend of counselling, sexology, and national program design experience—having worked with over 200,000 young people across schools, as well as training teachers and parents in how to support them. I understand not just what teens are going through, but how to actually engage them in a way that cuts through. How sessions feel for your teen: Relaxed, conversational, and non-judgemental Practical, not preachy Respectful of their privacy, while still keeping parents appropriately informed Focused on building real-life skills they can actually use For parents: I know it can be hard to know when to step in, what to say, or how much to push. My role is to support your child while also giving you confidence that they’re in safe, experienced hands. Where appropriate, I can also provide guidance to help you better support your teen at home—without breaking their trust. Teenagers don’t need to be “fixed.” But they do need support, language, and someone they can talk to who gets it. Sometimes, that person isn’t a parent—and that’s okay.
